An apple a day helps alleviate allergies away!

Allergies can be such a hassle! Your waking hours are consumed with sneezing, coughing and wheezing. You either can't breathe through your nose, or you can't stop it from dripping! Fiber-infused foods like whole grains, nuts and yogurt are also helpful in preventing allergies related to the gastrointestinal tract. The active cultures in yogurt not only help with gastrointestinal concerns, they also help to fight skin allergies.

Some studies have shown that people with asthma are zinc-deficient. It is advised that foods rich in zinc be included in an allergy sufferer’s diet. Plain yogurt, tofu, lean ground beef, lean ham, oysters, crab and the dark meat of turkey and chicken are just some of zinc-rich foods.
